Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS)
Admission Procedure for the academic year – 2021 Term
Rashtriya Military Schools located at Bangalore, Belgaum (Karnataka), Ajmer, Dholpur (Rajasthan) and Chail (Himachal Pradesh). RMS’s are CBSE affiliated, fully residential public schools, which function under the aegis of Ministry of Defence. The college was established in 1946 with the primary aim of preparing the boys for entry into Defence Services and to provide quality all round education to young BOYS only.
Admission Class : Class VI
Exam Date : 27-12-2020 (Sunday)
Age : 10 to 12 years as on 31st March, 2021 (or) 01-04-2009 to 31-03-2011 (both dates include)
Educational Qualification : Passed Class V at the time of admission,
Reservation of Vacancies : (a) 70% for wards of JCOs/OR of Army, Navy and AF (including ex-servicemen).
(b) 30% for wards of officers of Army, Navy and AF (including retired officers) and wards of civilians.
(c) A total of 50 seats are earmarked in Killed in Action category, in all five RMSs together, at any point of time.
Note: 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for SC and ST in all categories.
Scheme of Exam : (a) OMR based written Exam in English, G.K & Current Affairs, Mathematics & Intelligence
(b) Interview
(c) Medical Exam
Minimum Pass Marks : English (35%), Maths, Intelligence, G.K & C.A (40%)
Application Form : By sending D.D (Rs. 650 for General & Rs.350 for SC/ST Cast certificate needed) in favor of “Principal, Rashtriya Military School”, or Directly from RMS by paying Rs. 600 (General) & Rs.300 (SC/ST with CC)
